What are ChartTrends®?

ChartTrends are syndicated reports designed to compare what physicians self-report about disease management to what actually occurs at the patient level. Through an in-depth review of specific patient charts, details such as product dosing and titration, switching, concomitant medications, and a host of laboratory and patient demographic variables help define patient types and identify therapy triggers. Currently offered in Nephrology (ESRD and CKD), Dermatology (Biologics), Rheumatology (Biologics), and Gastroenterology (Biologics).

Why Purchase ChartTrends?

By reviewing specific patient charts, ChartTrends provide a wealth of information that cannot be obtained in attitudinal surveys alone. Chart audits are extremely expensive, often cost prohibitive, because of the time it takes respondents to comb through specific charts and because of the number of physician respondents and patient charts needed for a robust sample. Because ChartTrends are syndicated, multiple clients are purchasing, which allows us to provide these reports at a fraction of the cost compared to a custom chart audit. ChartTrends provide a cost-effective way for you to understand true physician behavior and therapy triggers that impact physicians’ actions and inactions.

Will ChartTrends Include All The Information I Want To See?

Our clients tell us that ChartTrends cover the vast majority of information they would like to see. But to ensure we capture everything you want, BioTrends offers each client the opportunity to include up to three proprietary variables and two proprietary attitudinal questions in our surveys at no additional cost.

Are the Respondents My Targets?

We do not use panels. We recruit a random sample of respondents and we screen on a number of criteria, including number of patients, so all of our respondents are \high market decile physicians. In addition, we will cross-match our respondents in any survey with your list of targets to let you know the percent overlap. Finally, if you provide us with a list of targets (of a certain size) prior to fielding we will guarantee an 80% match.
