Special Report: Referrals in Nephrology II
The second syndicated report providing insight into the referral patterns for and management of chronic kidney disease (CKD-ND) patients from the perspective of nephrologists, endocrinologists, and primary care physicians.
Study Overview:
Special Reports allow us to dig deeper into certain areas or explore questions that have come about during previous research. Primary care physicians, as well as endocrinologists, are often involved in the care of patients with chronic kidney disease who are not on dialysis (CKD-ND). The purpose of this report is to understand awareness of CKD-ND, referral patterns, and awareness of and treatment initiation of therapies in the management of CKD by these various specialties.
Methodology:
Physicians complete a self-administered internet survey. The methodology is quantitative with several open-ended questions for qualitative feedback.
Sample Frame:
The report will highlight responses from a random sample of 300 physicians including 100 nephrologists, 100 endocrinologists, and 100 primary care physicians.
Timing:
Special Report: Referrals in Nephrology II will be published on August 31, 2010.
Deliverables:
In addition to the final report, a complete set of frequency tables, summary statistics, and cross-tabulations will be provided. Clients will also receive a customized report with information from their proprietary questions (each client has the option to include up to three proprietary questions). Onsite or web-cast presentations are available upon request at no charge.
