TreatmentTrends^®: Chinese Nephrology Market

Study Overview:

TreatmentTrends are syndicated reports that provide longitudinal information on market dynamics. This report examines the practice of Nephrology in China.  It assesses dialysis and chronic kidney disease patient load and treatment patterns.  Emphasis is on overall physician and patient demographics, the treatment of renal anemia and bone and mineral metabolism and expected future trends in the two-five year period.

Methodology:

A combination of quantitative and qualitative research will be conducted.  Secondary research on the Chinese Healthcare System will also be included.

Sample Frame:

Qualitative interviews with 10 Key Opinion Leaders in the eight major Chinese municipalities (Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Jinan, Nanjing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Wuhan) will inform the quantitative survey design.  A regionally representative sample of 100-125 clinical nephrologists will participate in a quantitative survey (administered via personal phone interview) about their practice demographics and treatment patterns.

Timing:

The qualitative research phase will be conducted in May 2010.  The quantitative survey will be fielded in June with the fill report available in July 2010.

Deliverables:

The report (power point) and all translated transcripts will be provided in English.  Additionally, a complete set of frequency tables, summary statistics, and cross-tabulations will be provided.  Webcast presentations are available at no additional charge.
