TreatmentTrends^®: EU Nephrology Bone and Mineral Metabolism

Study Overview:

TreatmentTrends are syndicated reports that provide longitudinal information on market dynamics. This series of two reports provides insight from Nephrologists’ perspective into practice patterns, attitudes and perceptions, current product use and future projections. It evaluates perceived product advantages and disadvantages, as well as sales and marketing efforts of key players.   Emphasis is on calcium-phosphorus metabolism and secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with CKD Stages 3 and 4, as well as patients on dialysis.

Methodology:

Nephrologists will complete a self-administered internet survey. The methodology is quantitative with several open-ended questions for qualitative feedback.

Sample Frame:

Each report will highlight responses from a random sample of 200 Nephrologists, 40 from each of the following countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK.  All participating Nephrologists will manage a minimum of 50 ESRD/dialysis patients OR 100 later stage CKD patients.

Timing:

This report is fielded and published semi-annually.  2010 publication dates are June 30 and December 24.

Deliverables:

The report for each wave will be provided in power point with trending from prior waves provided.  All reports are in English.  Please contact BioTrends for costs related to report translation into a native language.  Additionally, a complete set of frequency tables, summary statistics, and cross-tabulations will be provided.  Webcast presentations are available at no additional charge.
