TreatmentTrends®:  The Role of Anemia Managers, Practice Managers, and Facility Administrators in the Management of Renal Anemia


A syndicated annual report providing insight into the management of anemia in dialysis and later stage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD-ND) patients (Stage 3/Stage 4) from the perspective of anemia managers, practice managers, and facility administrators.

Study Overview:

TreatmentTrends are syndicated reports that provide longitudinal information on market dynamics. This report provides insight into the role and involvement of various players in anemia management in CKD-ND and dialysis patients along with practice patterns, attitudes and perceptions, current product use and future projections. It evaluates perceived product advantages and disadvantages, as well as sales and marketing efforts of key players. Emphasis is on erythropoietin stimulating agent (ESAs) and IV iron.

Methodology:

Anemia managers will complete a self-administered internet survey. The methodology is quantitative with several open-ended questions for qualitative feedback.  Practice managers and facility managers will participate in one-on-one qualitative telephone interviews.

Sample Frame:

Each report will highlight responses from a random sample of 190 respondents including 150 anemia managers (75 from dialysis centers and 75 from nephrology offices/CKD clinics), 20 practice managers in nephrology offices/CKD clinics, and 20 facility administrators in dialysis centers.

Timing:

TreatmentTrends: The Role of Anemia Managers, Practice Managers, and Facility Administrators in the Management of Renal Anemia is fielded and published annually. The 2010 Publication date is August 27th.

Deliverables:

In addition to the final report, a complete set of frequency tables, summary statistics, and cross-tabulations will be provided.  Clients will also receive a customized report with information from their proprietary questions (each client has the option to include up to three proprietary questions).  Onsite or web-cast presentations are available upon request at no charge.
